The sound of helicopters over Keystone Colorado real estate at River Run Village signals that the speedy 8-pack gondola is all but ready for the 2008-2009 Winter Season at the Keystone Resort. Spending millions of dollars on improvements, Vail Resorts is upgrading the River Run Gondola, adding a mid-station, and moving it into the center of the River Run Village. In the not-so-distant future, they are also putting in a new development of luxury real estate in Keystone CO adjoining the base of the Gondola on the former Hunki Dori skier parking lot. The project is slated to be called “One River Run.”
Real estate near One River Run between the current Keystone CO vacation homes in The Springs and Red Hawk Lodge at the new base location of the new gondola will most likely experience price increases—good news for those who invest sooner rather than later in this prime Summit County resort property.
The new River Run Gondola has a vertical rise of 2,307 feet with an average trip time of less than 12 minutes. Skiers and riders will be wowed by the state-of-the-art comfortable gondola cabins with floor-to-ceiling windows. The ride, with views of the scenic Keystone resort, also makes for special transportation to the top of Dercum Mountain and Alpenglow Stube—the highest award-winning gourmet restaurant in North America.
(As an aside, the Epic Season Pass is making its debut this year for only $579 for adults and $279 for children 5-12. The Epic Pass allows skiers and riders unlimited and unrestricted skiing all season at five world-class mountains including Keystone and the neighboring ski terrain in Breckenridge and Arapahoe Basin—as well as Vail and Beaver Creek in Vail Valley, and Heavenly in Lake Tahoe. The Epic Pass must be fully paid for by November 15, 2008 and can be attached to a credit card for secure resort spending sin cash.)
