Last weekend’s soothing but lively strands, admirable artworks, and family fun filled the air at River Run Village and nearby in Keystone, Colorado real estate during the 4th Annual Blues Festival and Art Show August 2-3, 2008. Growing in popularity among the summer festivals in Summit County, the event permeated our offices and Keystone CO real estate in Expedition Station as well as the courtyard at Silvermill in the River Run Condominiums.
Known for its wonderful summer music festivals, ownership of vacation real estate in Keystone’s River Run neighborhood also comes with excellent restaurants, clubs, ski services, and shops as well as three splendid mountains of fabulous skiing, and biking and hiking trails. A Keystone vacation home at Red Hawk Townhomes, The Springs, Arapahoe Lodge, Black Bear Lodge, Jack Pine Lodge, Dakota Lodge, Silvermill, Expedition Station, Buffalo Lodge, Lone Eagle, Riverbank Lodge or Timbers Condominiums will provide the cradle for years of family memories in the Rocky Mountains.
Residents and visitors were right at home at the Keystone Blues Festival and Art Show. The sun-kissed days caught them swaying to the acoustic melodies, mingling with friends, bouncing in the bounce houses, admiring a lavish display of classic art, sipping cool drinks, and smacking their lips while sampling the tasty food.
Entertainment featured two days of the sounds of Energy Alley, Jeff Meyers and the Bluez Doggs, Sheryl Renee, Lee Boys, Dig Daddy Lee and Kingbees, and the Todd Tijerina Band. The art show featured the work of 30 artists using various mediums to encapsulate the fullness of life for buyers to enjoy at home.
A nostalgic highlight of the entertainment, the Lee Boys with their sacred steel music, carries on the family legacy left by Alvin Lee’s brother and father who passed on in 2000. The men are remembered for their gospel roots but Alvin and three nephews spiced it up with blues, funk, country, and jazz, strumming out some great high-energy sounds. The positive uplifting music got ‘em out onto the dance floor. This was their last performance on a tour of the Rocky Mountains.
