Keystone’s Mountain Art Gathering at River Run
By The Walsh Group
The Mountain Art Gathering—this year July 26 to July 29 at The Pavilion at Keystone—near real estate in picturesque River Run Village is a great place to get acquainted with the perfection of our Rocky Mountain location. If you can make it, come by our office to see the available vacation real estate at Keystone ’s River Run Village in Expedition Station. Other Keystone CO real estate options in the River Run Condominium complexes around here are the Red Hawk Lodge, The Springs, Arapahoe Lodge, Black Bear Lodge, Jack Pine Lodge, Dakota Lodge, and Silvermill.
The three-day classic art show and sale highlights the work of ten of America’s leading guest artists along with our very own artisans who live in Keystone and Summit County, Colorado homes. Free to the public, the extraordinary event also features activities for children, live music, and a grand Friday night Gala celebrating the 21st anniversary of The Summit Foundation, the sponsor of the Mountain Art Gathering events.
Participating artists represent a variety of mediums during the Gathering. They also dedicate themselves to facilitating fundraising and cultural opportunities at events such as the Mountain Art Gathering. Twenty percent of all art sales are donated by these outstanding artists to Soul of the Summit, an initiative of the Summit Foundation.
Although Summit County is a vacation paradise, it is also home to over 28,000 people who are touched by the work of the Summit Foundation. Established in 1984, the Foundation is a leader in building a legacy of generosity in the area. As it fundraises through a variety of events such as the Annual Grand Timber Lodge Celebrity Golf Tournament, Rubber Duck Races, and Parade of Homes, the organization has been able to fund a large spectrum of nonprofits and their programs.
Over 400 community volunteers give of their time and energy through the volunteer network that is managed by the Foundation’s Volunteer Center. On their website, they explain philanthropy from the Greek word meaning, “love of human kind.” That translates into making the world a better place, the primary goal of the Summit Foundation. Donors give their wealth, wisdom, and work to support organizations in art, culture, health, human services, education, scholarship, environment, and sports. So, when you come out to find a wonderful new piece to decorate your mountain vacation property, you will be participating in something much bigger than the gathering of art.
By the way, you are invited to attend the Gala on Friday evening, July 25 to benefit the cause and to participate in a live auction of art, delectable culinary delights, and entertainment. Be sure to make dinner reservations by contacting Allure Events.
