Keystone
Keystone Ranch Golf Neighborhood in Colorado
By The Walsh Group

The premier neighborhood of Keystone Ranch and the Keystone Ranch Golf Club in Colorado are within minutes of Keystone Village.  Real estate in Keystone Ranch consists of lots and 74 single-family homes that feature tremendous views down the fairways to the snowcapped mountains of Breckenridge, the Continental Divide, Buffalo Mountain, and the White River National Forest.

The Robert Trent Jones-designed course, the Keystone Ranch Restaurant and Club House, and a 9-acre lake are the centerpiece of this prime western Keystone, Colorado real estate.   Residents of surrounding neighborhoods such as Old Keystone, Saw Whiskers, Last Chance, Elk Run, and Elk Crossing also enjoy proximity to the Keystone Ranch Golf Course.  Large Keystone homes (2,700-5,500 square feet) sell for $1 million to $3 million —quite a value in the Colorado resort real estate market.  Keystone real estate is averaging about $250-350 per square foot, affordable compared to some sell-out options in Breckenridge and Vail.

Keystone, Colorado real estate is just seventy miles west of Denver, minutes from Interstate-70, in Summit County.  Five top-ranking ski resorts are within 20 minutes, including Keystone, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Arapahoe Basin, and Loveland.  During summertime, water lovers and boaters head out to nearby Lake Dillon, the highest marina in the world, and the Blue River.  The Village is plump with fine and casual dining, shops, and festival and activities for the entire family.

Along with inspiring mountain and golf course views in a private, pristine setting, residents of these Keystone CO homes share the clubhouse, pool, and tennis courts.  This is a picturesque mountain enclave where neighbors enjoy the splendid sunsets as they walk to the award-winning Keystone Ranch Restaurant for cocktails and six-course meals in the old log homestead.  The active residents also easily access fantastic hiking and biking trails zooming over 10,000 feet in elevation.  On another note, they formed a Citizens League as a way to give back to the larger community.

The golf course is an open, high-meadow design with sagebrush and native grasses bordering many of the holes, rated as one of the top golf resorts in the country by Golf Magazine and Golf Digest.  Patterned after the legendary links-style, Scottish courses, the front nine is prep for the traditional mountain layout of the back nine.  The par-72 course features slight elevation changes, many bunkers and the lake.   As a full-service facility, it also offers a driving range, putting greens, and bunkers as well as professional instruction, women- and junior-specific clinics, club cleaning, storage, locker rooms, and a full golf shop.

The course opened in 1980 but the old log house predates it by 42 years as the homestead on a lettuce farm and cattle ranch.  The historic barns and ranch buildings remain next to the green on the fifth hole, and the fireplace a former wedding gift remains enact in the #1 restaurant in the state.

To find the Ranch from Highway 6, turn south at the traffic light near the Keystone Lodge and take an immediate left.  Turn right onto Soda Ridge Road and go one mile to stop sign.  Turn left, enjoying the evening sunset all the way to the gate.
