Winter Fun for Owners of Keystone Real Estate
By The Walsh Group

The owners of vacation property at Keystone Resorts, Colorado know that when ski season starts, there is a lot to do in Keystone and around Keystone CO real estate and Summit County.

Skiers and snow riders have their pick of slopes and terrain near real estate in Summit County, Colorado.   Many residents shuttle from Keystone Resort to Copper Mountain, Breckenridge and A-Basin throughout the winter season, mingling with thousands of visitors who also take advantage of a variety of snow activities and special events near popular Keystone real estate.

Families from Keystone Colorado resorts help to kick off the season December 1 and 2 with two big events.  The whole team at Keystone Resort in Colorado offers 36 hours of continuous skiing and riding, which has now become an annual event.  Concurrently, the Demo Days event offers the opportunity for everyone to try out new equipment while listening to live music.

During the winter months, beautiful Keystone Lake offers the only Zamboni-maintained outdoor ice rink.  Bring your own skates or rent them at the convenient activities office located next to the rink.  After skating, it is nice to enjoy a hot chocolate from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, located next to the lake along with other fine stores and restaurants.

Remember the tubing hill that is open from mid-day until closing in the evening.  Truly an activity for the whole family, tubing will delight your children as well as your inner child.  And everyone can ski and ride to the heart’s content.  This resort boasts the largest lighted areas for night skiing in the state.  If you would rather wind down during your evenings, fill the daylight hours with brimming activity.

The resort has recently opened an additional 3,000 acres of terrain for skiing and riding, making it the largest ski area in the county.  The new Independence Bowl is located east of the summit of Dercum Mountain.  Independence Bowl also offers 300 acres of expert only, natural terrain, and is accessible by snowcat.

Need some warmer options?  How about a sumptuous facial or an all-day pampering at the Aveda Day Spa in The Gateway?  It’s toasty inside the multiplex theatre and inside the variety of outlet stores in the area.
