Beat the city heat this summer by becoming an owner of Breckenridge or Keystone, Colorado real estate.  When the mercury rises above the 90-degree mark, the best place to be is tromping through a valley of wildflowers high the Rocky Mountains.  The high country around Summit County is a convenient escape for residents of the Front Range cities and communities and a perfect place to buy a Silverthorne, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, or Keystone CO home or condo to use for quick family getaways.  Less than a two-hour drive on I-70 from your Denver CO home and you’ve entered another world where summer fun is unbeatable.

Besides the cool mountain air that brings visitors by the thousands to live part-time in the mountain real estate in Breckenridge, Keystone Resorts and Copper Mountain, there are a great variety of enlivening things to do.  Beautiful golfing, awesome mountain biking, invigorating hiking, refreshing fishing, and carefree boating, canoeing and kayaking are some of the summer activities you can enjoy all summer long and Breckenridge is headquarters for many of them.

Then there are special events, happenings, festivals, and concerts that add to the season's fun.  June in Breckenridge sees the opening of the World Market that is held every Sunday throughout summertime.  More than 40 vendors from around the world display handmade crafts and exotic goods.  In addition, you'll find farm-fresh produce from four area farms, one all-organic.  The World Market opens at 9 a.m. at the Main Street Station with live music from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.  The Golf Club hosts the Adam Foote Celebrity Golf Tournament at the end of the June with proceeds going to charitable organizations.

In addition to live theatre and movies, there are the melodious sounds of the National Repertory Orchestra in residence at the Riverwalk Center.  The NRO performs two full orchestra concerts each week between late June and mid-August.  Its primary mission is the training of talented young musicians for seats in symphonic orchestras in the United States and abroad.  Each summer approximately 86 musicians are chosen in a nationwide audition tour to come here to play in the mountain orchestra.

A substantial nightlife buzzes in downtown Breck as a variety of pubs, bars, and restaurants bring residents and visitors together.   Visit the O2 Lounge and Internet Cafe to fill your lungs with pure oxygen.  Guaranteed to beat the High Altitude Blues!  The Brewery there is infamous as one of the earliest micro-breweries in the state.   As for food, you will find the list of restaurants span the spectrum of cuisines from seafood to Oriental, Mexican, American, and Italian.  Whatever taste you yearn for, you can find matching morsels in town.
